Joyce Ann McGinn OTR/L, GCFP
Joyce Ann is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner® (GCFP), Anat Baniel practitioner, Masgutova Neurosensorymotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) specialist level III, Nondual Kabbalistic Healer, and certified in Early Intervention (0-3 year olds).
Joyce Ann achieves success improving movement efficiency with children and adults who battle developmental delays, neurologic, orthopedic, trauma, pain, PTSD, balance, emotional and behavioral challenges. She has worked in medical and industrial settings, psychiatric hospitals, assisted living, home health, schools, and early intervention. Her unique combination of healing practices allow her to more fully integrate the role of neuroplasticity into her practice through her hands-on nourishing connections.
Joyce Ann's integrative healing methods have dramatic effects on the individual’s capacity for problem-solving, communication and learning. This is accomplished by increasing self-awareness and mobility, improving balance, rhythm and timing, strengthening multi-tasking skills, and enhancing visual-motor and sensory-motor integration skills. It is helpful for all ages including children with developmental delays, individuals with neurological difficulties, those recovering from injuries, those individuals who have been suffering from chronic pain and would like to get back into a healthy lifestyle, as well as those who want to refine their skills in the arts.
Joyce Ann often provides home programs with clients, parents and caregivers in order to continue the learning in between sessions. These "exercises" are specific to the person's needs for further growth and development. She teaches Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement® classes in-person and online and provides individual sessions.
Joyce Ann is also co-founder and COO of Compris, Inc., a comprehensive addiction diagnostics research and development company. She resides in Illinois.
